We've reviewed all sorts of grills and smokers. Recently, we obtained a kamado cooker and it got us thinking: if you've only got the room or money for one cooker, which one is best? It's a harder question to answer than we initially thought, but we'll sum up our thoughts on the various types of cookers and where they might fit into your backyard!
If I Could Only have One Cooker…
It's time for another grill review! Or is it a smoker? Or an oven? Kamado grills are a bit difficult to pin down. Ultimately, they're extraordinarily versatile cookers that fit a wide range of methods. While a good kamado grill tends to be expensive, the Vision Classic Kamado (by Vision Grills) is a value play in this market and that's the unit we're reviewing today. Is it worth the money? Actually, I'm just going to spoil it for you. Yes. Yes, it is. In particular, I got a pretty good deal on this one, but even at retail it's a great value option. We're going to go through features and functions and then do a test cook. Our inaugural cook is a beef tri-tip roast, which perfectly complements the versatility of a kamado cooker!

I've made a lot of ribs, but I've never tried 3-2-1. It's a really popular method for backyard barbecuers and I thought it was time to put them to the test. Can they compare to restaurant quality? If they're not as good, are they still a viable solution for low-maintenance ribs? If they're not a viable solution...do dogs like them? Let's find out!
